Volvo B8R ensures continued Bliss for London based coach operator

Bliss Travel Limited, a London based coach hire business, has recently purchased a new Volvo B8R SC5 coach to add to its existing fleet of 25 vehicles and to ensure continued ULEZ legislative compliance.

The 41 seat B8R is specified with the Volvo D8K, 8-litre Euro VI engine and stylish Sunsundegui SC5 bodywork. Featuring proven operational credentials, the B8R is renowned for its manoeuvrability and fuel economy, with these two elements proving crucial in the latest purchasing decision for Bliss Travel.

“Our new Volvo B8R will mostly be operating on our London tour work,” explained Bliss Coaches Director, Andrew Bliss. “For that type of operation we need the right capacity, reliability, manoeuvrability and fuel economy, all of which we get from this new vehicle.

“We’ve specified Volvo coaches and specifically the B8R before, so we knew the quality to expect. With the new ULEZ regulations in London, it’s vital that all of our vehicles are fully compliant and the purchase of this new coach ensures that we can continue to be confident in our touring proposition.”

Andrew Bliss continued: “We’ve dealt with our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Jo Baker for many years and she brings a wealth of product knowledge and is always very helpful. That’s important because you need to be able to trust in your sales contact.”

Jo Baker said: “The B8R meets all of the key requirements that Bliss Travel had outlined. It offers capacity and performance in a smaller bodied coach. We have a long established relationship with the operator and I’m delighted that we could find the ideal coach for their needs.”

Bliss Travel was formed in 1993 to provide a trade service to the chauffeur drive business in Central London. Since then the company has expanded, specialising in offering coach hire and coach rental to London.
