Norfolk based Coach Services has taken delivery of a new Volvo B8RLE MCV. The new bus forms part of an ongoing replacement programme as the company standardises its fleet to all Euro 6 compliant vehicles.
The new bus features MCV Evolution bodywork, and will be deployed on a number of local bus services and school contracts on routes in the area.
Rob Crawford, Transport Manager for Coach Services, said: “We invested in two of the same buses last year and have been extremely impressed with their performance, so a repeat purchase was inevitable when it came to us needing another vehicle replacement as we standardise our fleet.
“We have been providing transport for Thetford and the surrounding area for more than 70 years and have a reputation to uphold, so we need to ensure the vehicles we operate are excellent quality, high specification, and have the capacity to meet the demands of our contracts.
“The Volvo B8RLE offers all the latest passenger safety, comfort and convenience benefits, such as three-point seat belts, which were very important to the selection of this specific vehicle due to the school work.
“More than half of the vehicles within our fleet are Volvo and our experience of the product has always been excellent.
“Our Volvo Retail Bus & Coach Sales Manager, Richard Mann, took us seamlessly through the purchase and delivery process which was a pleasure when running a demanding business.
“In addition, we also know that we will get the service we require from our trusted local Volvo dealership, Volvo Truck & Bus Centre East Anglia in Thetford. They are located on the same trading estate as us and obviously this adds an enormous benefit should we need any aftersales backup in a hurry.”
Richard Mann added: “We are delighted Coach Services has once again selected Volvo to add to their existing fleet and look forward to a continued relationship between our companies.”
